Using a camera and a facial recognition software, the visitors become part of the work. The visitors look into faces, and at the same time the observing gaze of these faces, and thus ultimately that of the installation itself, falls on them. The peripetty of this exchange of views is the moment in which the visitors recognize their own faces among those looking at them. They recognize themselves as part of the instal- lation as well as themselves. In this way, the work‘s function of observation and face accumula- tion is revealed and the border crossing inherent in the work is immediately relativized by its transparency.
